The TNFLA Spring Meeting was held on 27 April 2017.

On 27 April 2017, the Arbor Gen-Richard O. Barham Super Tree Nursery hosted the TNFLA's Spring Meeting.

The meeting consisted of:

  • Truman Lamb, Anderson County CEA, explained how he and his office helps forest landowners;
  • Bill Higginbotham, TFS, gave an incredible talk on wild hogs in our forests,
  • a photo contest with entries submitted by our members;
  • Susan Stutz, Texas Forestry Association, discussed landowner rights in Texas; and,
  • Gene Bickerstaff, Manager of the Arbor Gen Super Tree Nursery, discussed how the nursery grows trees from seeds and how the small seedling plugs are grown in fields until they are big enough to be transplanted to our forest land.

Overall, the Spring Meeting was a day spent with friends as we learned about things that we have a passion - our trees and how to take care of them.
